Cape Town and surrounds boasts many courses where you can spend hours playing golf. Most courses don’t require a handicap certificate and will hire out golf clubs. Here are some of our favourites:
Atlantic Beach: 18 holes

A charming woodland golf course that meanders along a dune-lined valley. Clovelly is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. Phone: 021 782 1118.
Erinvale: 18 holes
A superb course of two moods set in the heart of a real estate development. A scenic hilly, second nine complements a flat, challenging first nine. Phone: 021 847 1906.
Mowbray: 18 holes
A championship layout on flat terrain with tree lined fairways and clever water features. Only a 10 minute drive from hotel. Phone 021 685 3018.
Steenberg: 18 holes
This golf course meanders between working vineyards and has spectacular mountain surrounds. The course is in excellent condition and only 30 minutes from the hotel. Phone 021 713 2233.
